Introduction to Healthcare Security & Emergency Response

Preparing Armed Protection Officers for the Unique Challenges of the Healthcare Environment

This essential course is designed to prepare new security team members for the critical responsibilities of being a healthcare security professional. You’ll gain a strong foundation in healthcare-specific protocols, emergency response procedures, and the unique expectations of operating in a patient-centered environment.

• Your role as a first responder to high-level threats (e.g., Code Silver: weapon involvement)      
• Managing and reporting criminal activity in healthcare settings      
• Effective patrol procedures for exterior areas such as parking structures and emergency department perimeters

• Emergency management and coordination with clinical teams
