We will be hosting a Physical Ability Test (PAT) to ensure Healthcare Protection Officer employees meet the required standards for duty readiness.
What to Expect
- A series of physical tasks designed to measure strength, endurance, and mobility.
- Testing will take approximately 30–45 minutes.
- Please arrive in appropriate athletic clothing and footwear
Preparation Tips
- Stay hydrated and get adequate rest before the test.
- Review the test requirements in advance to ensure readiness.
Who Should Attend: HPO employees are due for their annual PAT test.

The training also focuses on mental and physical pre-encounter preparation steps that are proven to help reduce the opportunities for patient or staff harm during response to moments of escalation or aggression. This version focuses on the role of Healthcare Emergency Department Specialists and the types of interactions they encounter in their daily work.
Who should attend: Healthcare ED Specialists, Flex Officers and Supervisors.
