CORE: Train-the-Trainer

For any Supervisors, Managers, or Trainers to become certified to teach report writing standards. Registrations must be submitted 1 week before class to ensure required workbooks are shipped to your work location in time for class. Links for the class will be set to you 1 week before class to access through Microsoft Teams.

Requirements for Class:
-dedicated space and time that will allow me to uninterrupted focus
-to be at a computer with audio and Microsoft Teams access
-the ability to scan (via machine or phone application) during class
-a black pen and red pen
- to have my camera on during the training

The training is designed to prepare security staff with best practice guidance for the passive weapons detection system, screening with a hand-held metal detector and visual search.

Vistelar Basic (8Hr)

The Vistelar methodology focuses first on “non-escalation” with foundational teaching elements grounded in empathy and trauma informed principles, putting patient care at the center to improve everyday interactions before they escalate. The training also focuses on mental and physical pre-encounter preparation steps that are proven to help reduce the opportunities for patient or staff harm during response to moments of escalation or aggression.
Who should attend: All security staff, Emergency Department staff, Behavior Health staff, and Urgent care staff.
