As part of this commitment, the Passive Weapons Detection System from Athena has been introduced to the Prohibited Items Detection Program. This state-of-the-art technology enhances security screening in the Emergency Department with minimal disruption to patients, visitors, and staff.

This training prepares security leaders to implement and guide best practices in using the passive weapons detection system. It also includes instruction on effective screening techniques using a hand-held metal detector and visual search procedures.
