Weapons Detection System Train-the-Trainer

Description: BCI is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful environment that supports excellence in healthcare delivery across our facilities. As part of this commitment, the Passive Weapons Detection System from Athena has been added to the Prohibited Items Detection Program. This state-of-the-art technology enhances security screening in the Emergency Department while minimizing disruption to patients, visitors, and staff.

This training is designed to equip front-line security personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively operate the passive weapons detection system. It also covers best practices for screening using a hand-held metal detector and conducting visual searches in a professional and respectful manner.

Who Should Attend: Front-line Security Officers assigned to screening duties.
